I didn't spend a lot of time creating this mantle. I pretty much repeated my Spring mantle from 2016.

Snowmaggedon 2019

Yes, this was last month. I wanted to document it for the archives.

The snow started coming down on Feb 3rd. The boys missed multiple days of school. For my oldest son he missed almost 3 weeks of school due to snow days and  mid-winter break (Feb 18 to 22).

Here is the view out of our back door.

Our church cancelled service on Sunday Feb 10th.  We visited Canyon Hills Community Church which was open.

One of our trees was bent over with so much snow. J knocked the snow off and the tree gradually regained its height. Before:

I had to order a snow shovel from Amazon since the local stores were cleared out of them.

My boys made some money shoveling snow for an elderly couple in the neighbourhood. My 15 year old made 60 dollars for shoveling for an hour and my 13 year old made 30 dollars for working about 30 minutes.

Here is C with a huge icicle that formed on our roof.

The photo at the top is one that took while we went walking near our house.

It was the snowiest February (at at 20.2 inches) since record keeping began at Sea-Tac airport.
It was also the coldest February on record.
